This Privacy Policy explains how Pledge Picks collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Pledge Picks mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect your email address, username, authentication information, and other account details needed to provide and secure your account.
Profile information
If you choose to add a profile photo or other profile details, we store that information so it can appear in your profile, leagues, and other social features of Pledge Picks.
App activity
We may collect and store information about your use of Pledge Picks, including submitted picks, league memberships, Waiver War selections, results, standings-related activity, and notification preferences.
Device and notification information
If you enable push notifications, we may process device notification identifiers and related settings so we can deliver the alerts you choose to receive.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and manage user accounts;
- save and display picks, league activity, and Waiver War selections;
- calculate and display results and profile statistics;
- show usernames and profile photos in social and league features;
- send enabled notifications such as lock reminders and final results;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
- prevent abuse, duplicate accounts, cheating, or unauthorized activity.
Service Providers
Pledge Picks uses third-party service providers to operate portions of the app, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, file storage, and notification services. These providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own privacy and security practices.
Pledge Picks currently uses Google Firebase services for portions of its backend, authentication, data storage, and related app functionality.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate Pledge Picks, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Pledge Picks and its users.
Certain profile and competition information—such as your username, profile photo, league membership, submitted status, standings, or Waiver War activity—may be visible to other users when that visibility is part of the app feature you are using.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Some competition records may remain in historical league data where appropriate.
Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Pledge Picks account through the app's account controls. Some limited information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate historical record purposes.
Your Choices
You can choose whether to add a profile photo and whether to enable supported push notifications. You can also manage notification permissions through your iPhone settings.
Children's Privacy
Pledge Picks is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age permitted by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the situation.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect user data. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Pledge Picks changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are made.
